The pearl in this collection is responsibly sourced from New Zealand, where it is grown and harvested with special attention to the longevity and health of the mollusks that provide it. Each part of the mollusk is utilized — Outer shells are used to enrich soil, and the meat is used to feed the fish that maintain a healthy and clean growing environment for the mollusks.
The chain is crafted in the USA (Providence, Rhode Island) from one of the oldest chain manufacturers in the country.
Every piece in the JH collection is cast from 100% post consumer recycled 14k gold or sterling silver — with the occasional collection made in 18k. Our diamonds are all recycled, and our gemstones—when not recycled—are mindfully sourced and traceable to origin. All water used in the refining process is reused, and all trace metals left over are refined and recycled. These materials and their processes meet EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines and regulations.
Every JH piece is individually hand-fabricated in Los Angeles; creating our collections one by one allows us to carefully oversee the craft, quality, and detail that goes into every piece of jewelry, while avoiding wasteful mass-production techniques.
Most J. Hannah fine jewelry is handmade to order, and takes 4-6 weeks from the date of purchase to ship.
If a piece of jewelry is in stock it will be indicated by an asterisk (*) next to the variant on hand. In-stock jewelry is also listed in our In-Stock Index, and will ship in 1-2 business days.
